About Greater Adirondack Region Economic Development Forum
We're going to talk about economic development in New
York's North Country or Greater Adirondack Region, the land region
in New York's "hump" east of Lake Ontario
and north of Albany.
This includes the Adirondack Park but also includes Lake
Ontario and Tug Hill to the west, the
Thousand Islands and St. Lawrence Seaway, the northern counties along the
Canadian border and Vermont border, and of course, the Adirondack Park.
We’ll talk about economic development successes and failures, regional
economic strategies, destination marketing, tourism, and all that other good
stuff. My hope is the bring together some of the more forward thinking minds of
the region to come up with economic “best practices” for the region. While
there are a lot of good blog posts out there and a lot of people working on
economic and tourism development, I wanted to see some of all this great
thinking aggregated and integrated into something useable.
Please feel free to forward interesting posts and articles to me, and I will
try to blog about them.
