While people are still busy buying New York land for sale, North Country and Adirondack land residents are busy using their land and practicing right now for upcoming winter competitions. New York land recreation will be a big component of the 2010 Tri-Town Winter Carnival, an Adirondack North Country land festival with a “Medieval Times” theme. The February 18-21, 2010 festival is being hosted by the towns of Brasher, Stockholm, and Lawrence in St. Lawrence County.

Massena’s upcoming 2010 Massena Winter Carnival is being held February 4-7. North Adirondack New York land recreational activities will be showcased. The big draw will be the Massena Dash, an International Sled Dog Racing Association-sanctioned event. Dog sledding, or “mushing”, races will be the primary events. Skijoring races will also be held.
